»Children are loosing their connection with nature« and »Children are our greatest treasures« were two statements which convinced us to sponsor a socially engaged project which aims to increase childrens empathy towards nature.

Our financial support was given to the project, which is being coordinated by the company GARTLING Vlasta Grabec s.p.. With its core business being gardening and landscaping, the company started a project which aims to increase childrens (aged 5 to 10 years old) understanding of nature through gardening education and activities, as well as the use of their own small boxed gardens made of wood.

55 small wooden gardens were produced by students of the woodworking course at the middle schools "Srednja šola Slovenj Gradec in Muta" and "Srednja šola za lesarstvo Škofja Loka". These gardens will be distributed to kindergardens, primary schools and other educational facilities during the months of april and may. In addition to the wooden gardens, educational facilities will also receive all the suplemental equipment needed for gardening such as tools, soil for gardening as well as seeds and samplings. This will enable children to familiarise themselves with nature, plants and gardening in a fun and educational way.
