Update of a solar power plant

Our team of electricians has recently updated a already built-in and fully functioning solar power plant in the vicinity of Ljubljana. We carried out a sort of upgrade of the system – ensuring that the house of our customer will be self sufficient in case of electricity breakdown. Our coworkers Marko and Rok installed and configured a battery bank, inverters and additional solar panels that help maintain the charge of the battery bank. The sistem is connected with the SOLAR EDGE inverter, which, combined with the battery bank, supplies the public electricity grid with surplus electricity. This system enables a steady and even comsumption of electrical energy.

We used the following components for this 3-phase system to function properly and effectively:

• 3x 5 kW 48V inverters Multiplus-II
• 30 kWh battery bank
• Communications and control device Cerbo GX
• Display GX Touch
• Battery Monitor System Lynx (distributor + shunt + power in)
• 4x 450W solar panels
• Solar charge controller Smart solar MPPT 250/100

A few months after the update, the customer contacted us again with the wish for a further update of their solar power plant. This time we built-in 3 additional batteries for self sufficiency and a charging station for an electric vehicle (Victron EV charging station).
