Why Victron Energy in a UPS Cabinet?
Victron Energy equipment is typically found in applications where energy independence from the electrical grid is required – in motorhomes, boats, off-grid cabins, and other mobile electrical systems. However, this time we took a slightly different approach in our production facility. Instead of installing the Victron Energy NG system in a vehicle or boat, we integrated it into a professional UPS cabinet designed for safe, uninterrupted, and smart power supply to more demanding electrical consumers.
A UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) cabinet ensures immediate switch-over to battery power in the event of a power outage, thereby protecting sensitive electrical devices from power loss, voltage spikes, surges, and other grid anomalies.
We installed the following Victron Energy components in the cabinet:
1x LiFePo4 battery 51V/100Ah NG
1x Smart BMS Lynx NG battery management system
2x Lynx Distributor modular DC busbars
1x Quattro 48/5000 combined inverter/charger
1x Cerbo GX communication unit
Key features of the installed NG components:
Modularity and scalability: The system can be easily upgraded or adapted to user needs.
Smart management: Through the Cerbo GX unit, the user has a complete overview of consumption, charging, battery status, and the grid.
High efficiency and robustness: Industrial-grade equipment ensures long-term operation even in demanding conditions.
The system allows automatic switching between battery power, the grid, or a generator – depending on the available source. The installed Victron Energy NG equipment also supports upgrades and increased battery capacity in response to higher energy demands.
Our UPS cabinet, equipped with Victron Energy NG technology, proves that top-tier solutions from the world of mobile and off-grid energy can also perform excellently in stationary applications, where reliability and adaptability are paramount. With automatic switching between the grid, battery, and generator, smart management via the Cerbo GX system, and remote monitoring through the VRM platform, this solution delivers everything modern users need – safety, control, and energy independence.
